With Global Warming making its presence known more and more every moment I do not understand how we are still concerned with money money money instead of preserving what little wildlife and park environment we have left. It's not just Texas with the issue, granted, but being the second largest state in the US we should be making a statement with forward movement of preservation for other states to follow.
With the cost of real estate and land decreasing nationwide, its time for our state organizations to step up and purchase these valuable lands for our climate, future generations, and to safely preserve the plants and animals that live there. The thought of those park areas being sold to make a buck and fund something we dont' need makes me sick.
Texas, consider getting your head out of your :<" and start being concerned with the environment instead of sports teams and new stadiums. Tax payers are funding new stadiums, new teams, college and pro, yet few seem to "get it." Without an ozone, we won't be watching any sports, now will we?
